 Sophia B. Clarke

Long-time Mt. SAC supporter, Sophia created a family popcorn
business that eventually grew into a successful concession
at the Pomona Fairplex and provided jobs for 80 people.
She began the first little league team in 1949 in Pomona.
Sophia has provided scholarships for the Pomona Library
and Mt. SAC. Her financial support was instrumental in
the building of Mt. SAC's Performing Arts Center (which
includes the Sophia B. Clarke Theater), the Mt. SAC aeronautical
facilities at Brackett Field, and the Mt. SAC Equine Center.
She still remains very active with the Pomona Soroptimists,
Friends of the Pomona Library, and the Mt. SAC Foundation.
