What are you doing now?

I work on the production drawings necessary to meet current building codes and the designs our clients envision.

How did your Mt. SAC experience impact your journey?

I was already working at a home building company, but having no drafting experience I decided to enroll in Mt. SAC's drafting technology program. At the time all architectural drawings at the company were still hand drawn, but toward the end of my time at Mt. SAC, I was able to take AutoCAD classes, around the same time my company was converting to an automated drafting & design program. I was encouraged by the number of young women taking the courses at Mt. SAC, as I was the only woman working in the architectural department at my company when I graduated.
