Osher Matching Scholarship Campaign Exceeds $1M
Mt. SAC proudly announces the successful end of its year-long Climb Higher/Osher Matching Scholarship Challenge, which generated over $1 million and entitled the college to over a half-million dollars in matching funds from the Bernard Osher Foundation. The interest earned on these endowment funds will guarantee over 110 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for students in perpetuity.

Fundraising Dinner Raised $4,000 for the Kepler Scholarship
Held last April 12 at Kellogg West, Cal Poly Pomona, the 3rd Annual Kepler Scholarship Fundraising Dinner raised over $4,000 for the scholarship. Students Juan Carlos Madrigal, Miguel Diaz, and Rodrigo Ferrufino were honored at the evening’s event with a prestigious Kepler Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, completed astronomy coursework and/or contributions toward the advancement of the College’s Astronomy Program.

Alta Skinner and Ryan Asao joins the Foundation Board of Directors
Mt. SAC Foundation welcomes 2 more new board members – Alta Skinner and Ryan Asao. Alta Skinner is very involved in San Dimas and would like to help the Foundation in promoting its goals and visions. Ryan Asao is a Mt. SAC Alumni from Class 1999. He is extremely passionate about education and helping the youth reach their full potential.

Jim and Eleanor Randall Continues to support the Mt. SAC Planetarium
Mt. SAC Foundation recently received $32,000 from Jim and Eleanor Randall. Through this annual gift, the Mt. SAC Planetarium will be able to hire a Planetarium technician. Jim and Eleanor are long-time supporters of the Planetarium. Last year, they also contributed in upgrading the seats of the Planetarium.
